  Welcome to the FUTURESHAPE website which will keep you informed of the latest happenings at the club. Check out the timetable for a wide range of classes from total beginners to the advanced enthusiast stretch and yoga classes, high level mix, maximal pump, body sculpting, and belly dancing; it’s all available at Futureshape.  
   

FUTURESHAPE is privately located in the luxurious surroundings of Garden City Compound. The club was formed 13  years ago and has continued to expand over the years. A friendly atmosphere with enthusiastic, qualified instructors.

The aerobic studio is large, light and spacious, with a sprung floor, completely mirrored with ballet bars. Proudly, our studio has played host to various professionals from the world of fitness and dance. The most famous being the Kirov Ballet dancers from Russia, who used the studio to rehearse in whilst on tour in the Gulf. We have also hosted various top-level workshops and master classes with internationally acclaimed fitness leaders, to educate people who have a keen interest in the fitness industry.

Our lifestyle in Bahrain is lead at a very different pace to other parts of the world. This being due to many contributing factors, such as excessive heat, lack of walking, domestic help (full time), and social events revolving around food and beverages !!

 
   
     
 
GOOD REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD EXERCISE ?

(read above) Here are just a few of the many reasons:

Help build and maintain healthy bones, muscles & joints.

Latest research shows that over 300,000 people a year die from obesity related diseases. Prevention is better than cure.

Remember "FAT ON THE LIPS GOES STRAIGHT ON THE HIPS"

Choose a low fat diet. Try not to eat too late….eight is too late!!!!!!

Here are a few tips to help you successfully lose those lbs:

  1. Make exercise a part of your daily routine, just like brushing your teeth.
  2. Eat a low fat, balanced diet each day. (What's the real skinny on fat? Click here for more information.)
  3. Eat three meals and two snacks a day.
  4. Drink six to eight glasses of water each day.
  5. Have at least two servings of fruit & three servings of vegetables each day.
  6. Eat without guilt and enjoy your food
  7. Limit or eliminate alcohol. It slows down your metabolism. It is a depressant.
  8. Be regularly ACTIVE.

Guidelines for Fluids & Exercise

The following list provides guidelines for fluid replacement when exercising.

2 hours before At least 2-3 "Water loading" hydrates the body and allows the kidneys 60-90 minutes to process excess liquid
15 minutes before 1-2 Fluid is available to replace sweat loss and lower body core temperature.
every 15-20 minutes At least 1/2 - 1 Fluid prevents dehydration; appropriate amount depends on climate, body size and exercise duration and intensity.
after As much as possible Every pound lost should be replaced with 16 ounces of fluid; urine should be pale.
